7/21/09 The National Challenge event details are now finalized. The rallyx will again be held at Gateway on the green overflow parking lot. Please take the time to pre-register for the event. Entry fees are handled a bit different than normal, with a cost of $30 pre-paid online by credit card or $40 cash on site. This is done so we have a good guess for Saturday night food and possible trophies. Remember to bring $5 cash to the event if you need a weekend SCCA membership.
Trophies will most likely be given out to the top place finishers in each class. An online entry list has been posted so you can see your competition ahead of time.
Full Information about the upcoming National Challenge rallyx has been posted to the info page along with Supplemental Regulations. The event will have a short shakedown course for Saturday evening from 4:00 to 6:00pm, along with a free social hour from 6:00 to 7:00pm, including finger foods and refreshments. There will be two courses run on Sunday and a total of three runs per course. The drivers meeting will happen an hour earlier than normal at 9:45am, so be sure to come in time to register, tech your car, and walk the courses. We hope to end sometime around 5:15 PM.
7/5/09 The first event of the year was a success (was the second scheduled event of the season). There were lots of new faces and plenty of fast cars and good drivers. The weather was perfect, given the fact that the days leading up to it were in the upper 90's, in the high 80's and a nice breeze to cool things off and blow away the dust. The results from the event are now online. Overall result, Heat result
Thank you for coming out to the event! The next will be in early August. Check back on the website for details on the format of the 2 day event.
6/22/09 The second event of the season is fast approaching for this Sunday, June 28th. The weather looks to be hot, so be sure to bring plenty of water and sun-tan lotion along with some bug spray to keep the pests away. The rallyx will again be held at Gateway on the green overflow parking lot. Please take the time to pre-register for the event. As usual, cost is $30 cash, add $5 if you need a weekend SCCA membership. We hope to see you all there!
5/29/09 The first event has been CANCELED. The site has standing water and is very muddy. During setup on Friday night the truck was stuck in mud (see photos below). The event will be rescheduled sometime this year. Check back here for more details.

The driest spot we could find.

3/01/09 The first event of the 2009 season will be on Saturday, May 30th. We hope to see everyone from last year and maybe some new faces. The complete 2009 schedule is posted to the website. We are still looking to fill the Treasurer position on the committee. No experience is necessary.
1/14/09 The RallyCross committee is planning the dates for the 2009 season. We would like your input on what day of the weekend to hold the events. Please contact Mark (markhuebbe@hotmail.com) with your preference of either Saturday or Sunday.
Also, we are looking for people to fill two open positions on the committee; Tech Inspector and Treasurer. If you are interested please contact Mark. No experience is necessary.
10/13/08 The final event for the year, Event #4, was out lowest turnout of the season with 12 drivers and probably just as many spectators, if not more. The weather again was perfect. With some creative design the course was the longest that we've had at Gateway, with times around 60 seconds. Besides for the low turnout the event went pretty good.
Results have been posted from the event. Congrats to Kim for taking the overall win and having the cleanest overall time of the day!
Curt has posted some photos from the fourth event of the year online. Hopefully more people will post their photos soon. Check back for updated links.
10/1/08 The fourth event of the year is all setup to go for Sunday, October 12th. The last event will again be held at Gateway on the green overflow parking lot. Please take the time to pre-register for the event. As usual, cost is $30 cash, add $5 if you need a weekend SCCA membership. We hope to see you all in two weekends.
9/23/08 Curt has posted photos from the third event of the year online.
Results have been updated with driver names.
9/22/08 Thank you everybody for coming out to the National Challenge rallyx event. The event went off without a hitch. We had lots of competitors, spectators, and a rain-free weekend to play out in the dirt. The practice and social hour on Saturday were well attended and made for a great atmosphere to start the weekend off.
Results have been posted with heat results and overall results as well. (Names will be added shortly)
9/17/08 The coming weekend looks to be exciting for the National Challenge rallyx event. As a reminder, if you haven't already done so, please pre-register.
Trophies will be given out to the top place finishers in each class. An online entry list has been posted so you can see your competition ahead of time. The weather looks great for the weekend!
9/04/08 Information about the upcoming National Challenge rallyx has been posted to the MiDIV info page. The event will have a short shakedown course for Saturday afternoon, along with a free social hour including finger foods and drinks.
There will be two courses run on Sunday and a total of three runs per course. We hope to end sometime around 5:15 PM. Pre-registration will hopefully be posted online soon. Note that on-site registration will cost slightly higher than if you pre-register. This is done so we have a good guess for Saturday night food and possible trophies.
8/26/08 Final results from the second event are now online. Thanks again for everyone who came out and played in the dirt. Fastest overall time goes to Mark Huebbe with 203.591. Fastest run with no cones goes to John Huebbe with 48.868. The two wheel drive cars were very competitive and the fastest time goes to Mike Byington with an overall time of 214.639.
Remember, our third event takes place on Sunday September 21, 2008 and is a divisional event. More details will be released soon.
8/12/08 Event number 2 is this Saturday August 16 at Gateway Int. Raceway, on the green overflow parking lot. Come out for some sideways fun in your car.
6/18/08 Final results from the 1st event are now online. Thank you to all who attended and thanks for helping to clean up afterwards. Fastest time of the first heat goes to Tyler Bernsen with a 38.572 and fastest time of the second heat goes to Mark Huebbe with a 35.661. (It should be noted that the grass was very wet in the first heat.)
6/16/08 Event number 1 is in the bag and it turned out great. The weather was warm and sunny. The high grass made heat one conditions challenging and the times dropped throughout the day. Rob was kind enough to take some photos of the second heat.
6/10/08 Event number 1 for the 2008 RallyX season is coming up this weekend. Come out and have some fun this weekend on Sunday at Gateway Raceway.
3/26/08 Updates to the 2008 RallyCross Schedule have been made. Unfortunately we can no longer use the field at Ewing, so we plan to switch one of the Ewing events to Gateway Raceway. Our first event will be held at GIR on Sunday, June 15th.
3/02/08 The 2008 RallyCross Schedule is now published online. We plan to have 5 events, with a possible makeup date of Nov. 2nd if we get another wet spring and are forced to cancel one event. Please note that our third event (Aug. 16, 2008) is held on a Saturday. Let's plan to have a great year!
11/08/07 Results from event #5 have been posted. Thanks for a great season.

9/26/07 Final results have been posted and are now official.
9/10/07 I want to thank everyone who came out to our first ever MiDIV Central States RallyX event. Preliminary results are now posted. More detailed results will be available later.
9/8/07 Both courses are set up and the site is in very good condition considering all the rain we have had in the past three days. The ground is a bit soft on the first course, but not muddy. The second course has very firm ground and only the grass was wet during setup. Bring your family and friends for what we hope will be a great event.
9/8/07 This is a reminder to all entrants; please bring cash for your entry fee. We do not take credit cards. The site will be open by 7:30 AM and we will start the driver's meeting promptly at 10:01 AM. Please try and get signed in and teched by 9:30 AM.
8/29/07 New information has been posted about our Central States Championship divisional event to the Cen States page. We recommend that everyone pre-register for the event.
7/26/07 Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the perfect weather for our second event. Results of the second rallycross have been posted. 10 drivers drove the 0.6 mile course a total of eight times. We hope to see you all at our MiDIV event in September.
6/24/07 The results of the first rallycross have been posted. We had a total of 9 drivers come out and brave the heat, dust, and challenging course. Thanks for coming out and having fun in the dirt.
Congrats to Mark for the great drive and the overall win and a honorable mention goes to the couple in the blue STi. Photos of both heats should be up on the website soon.
6/10/07 Good news to report, we have rescheduled the two canceled events and we have also made the GIR event a Central States Challenge event.
We hope to see you all this weekend on Sunday the 17th for our first rallyx event of the year.
5/5/07 UPDATE: Sorry, but four solid days of rain in Southern Illinois forced us to CANCEL the second event. The event site is worse than last month. Again, very sorry. We were looking forward to holding a great event.
We're working on moving both events to other dates in the summer, so hopefully we can still have 5 or 6 events this year.
5/5/07 The second event of the year is currently still schedule for tomorrow, BUT the event site has yet again seen a lot of rain within the past week (almost a repeat from the first event). Before you leave to come to the RallyX, please check the website late Saturday night or Sunday morning, or call Mark Huebbe at 636-734-9484 or John Huebbe at 314-496-6151. Hopefully we can hold it.
3/31/07 The first event of the year has been CANCELED. If you planned on attending please do not come out to the event site. Due to the heavy rain from the past few days, along with the rain from today, the event site is nothing but mud and water. The committee is very sorry about this bad news.
I have posted a few photos to the website showing the condition of the site.

11/05/06 The sixth rallycross results have been posted. The course was again very long and the rain stayed south of the event site. It was a great way to end the 2006 season. We had a total of 21 drivers, our most for the whole year. Thanks for coming out and having fun in the dirt.
Congrats to Mark for the great drive and the overall win and honorable mention to Kim for placing third in his WRX! Photos should be up on the website soon. See you all next year.

Congrats to Phil for taking the top spot and showing everybody how to drive in the slippery conditions. Photos should be up shortly.
5/15/06 Photos from the second RallyCross are now up. We had a good turnout and absolutely beautiful weather. Remember, our third event will be held very close to downtown St. Louis. Join us on Sunday, June 11th at the Gateway Int. Raceway "Green" parking lot. Even if you do not plan on driving, come out anyway to watch all of the sideways action.

4/3/06 Results from the first event have been posted. We would like to thank everybody that came out and participated in the event. Despite the chance of thunderstorms, it was a rain-free event with only a sprinkle around 8:30am. Unfortunately, it had rained early that morning and the ground started off slippery with mud in patches and made it difficult for some 2 wheel drive vehicles. Once we starting racing, the sun came out and it turned out to be a great day. Congratulations to Jeremy in dethroning the Uber RallyCross STi with his win over Mark.
3/29/06 The first event of the 2006 RallyCross season is upon us. Join us this Sunday, April 2nd 2006 for some great sideways action at the Ewing location. We hope to see a large crowd of people to start off a great new year.

Awesome turnout for our first event of the year! We had 22 drivers!
Results are posted.
04/01/04
Checked the site last night, it's still pretty soft, but if the forecast
is right and we get 3 days of dry weather, I believe we'll be in good
shape. Watch this space closely for updates!
03/05/04
A schedule page has been added to the site
that shows the rest of the events for the year.
03/04/04
Next event is scheduled for 4/4/04 at the

nature works with us.
10/31/03
Happy Halloween! Beans are being removed from the Pittsburg sight right
now, things are looking good for 11/9
10/23/03
Also, check out our appearance in Roundel
(BMWCCA) Magazine.
10/23/03
Looks like the final rallycross of our season will be at the
Pittsburg site. It's scheduled
for 11/9, but depending on the status of the crops in the field, it may
be re-scheduled for 11/23.
10/04/03
Event Cancelled!!!!!! due to site problems. Site was a mess when we
arrived, the road heading to the course was more like a rock-crawl than
a rally stage. Field was un-prepared and littered with HUGE car eating
rocks.
10/01/03 Directions to the Viburnum site have
been updated. These should be a little easier to follow.
Remember that this event is on Saturday, not Sunday as they normally
are!
09/24/03 Just wanted to make sure everyone
was aware that the ClubRally that the Viburnum rallycross was supposed
to accompany has been cancelled. The rallycross will still go on
as planned, but the ClubRally isn't going to happen. Please help to get
the word out about this as we don't want anyone to make an unnecessary
trip.
09/24/03
More pictures have been submitted from the last couple TOT events.
In addition, I'd like to make sure everybody knows about the next
Rallycross in
Viburnum MO on October 4th.
09/20/03 Now the
Results and some of the
pictures are posted on the TOT page.
09/19/03 Results posted late as per the recent
trend! You can find them on the TOT page, or you can just click
here. I will get the pictures
posted as soon as I have a chance.
9/07/03 Next weekend, September 14th is our next
event at the Trail of Tears Lodge.
Don't miss it!
8/11/03
Pictures from 8/3 posted.
8/08/03 Results are
posted for the 8/3 Trail of Tears event. I got them up a
little slower than usual, but finally got it done. We had a small
turnout, but those that did make the trip got 8 runs! If I've spelled
any of your names wrong please let me know so I can correct them.
I didn't have the registration forms to work off of this time and it was
all copied from the scribbles on the scoresheet. Don't forget our
next event on September 14th!
7/17/03 August 3rd and September 14th are
confirmed at the Trail of Tears Site!
7/10/03
St. Louis
Region RallyCross in the SportsCar Magazine spotlight! In
Addition we have some un-official dates for our next events, we plan to
have two events at the Trail of Tears site on August 3rd and September
14th, and another on October 4th in Viburnum, MO
6/09/2003 After a few uncertain moments, the sky
cleared over the Trail of Tears site, and the safety steward arrived.
The small turnout provided 6 timed runs, and a LOT of fun runs at the
end. I think I speak for everyone when I say we all had a great
time Sunday. The course provided a nice mix of tail-out fun,
technical decisions, and smooth elevation changes. Results have
been added to the Trail of Tears event
page.
5/09/2003 A page
has been setup specifically for the Trail of Tears Events.
This page will be updated again in the near future to include more
details. If you have any questions, please contact one of the
committee members on the contact page.
5/06/2003 The next StL. Rallycross is on it's way
June 8th. It will be at the Trail of Tears Lodge near Jonesboro
Illinois. It's about 30min south of the Pittsburg site, but for the St.
Louis drivers it may be closer to follow the river south in MO, and then
cross at Cape Girardeau. The site is medium sized and mostly smooth with
rolling hills.There's a bed-and-breakfast and a restaurant on-site.
Their website is
www.trailoftears.com . More information including maps and some
slight procedure changes for this particular event will be posted soon.
4/22/2003 Pictures are up on the Pittsburg
Page of the April 19th event.
4/20/2003 More news on the 4/19 event
later, but we did manage to get the results published
here.
4/18/2003 All is still looking great as of this
morning. We'll head out to the site to begin setup in a couple of
hours. Weather report says cloudy today with a 0% chance of rain.
4/17/2003 I just looked over the course and
it looks good! Looks like the rain came fast enough that it mostly
just ran off the surface! Can you believe that we may have a
rallycross that's NOT a mud-bog?
4/16/2003 It's raining hard here in
Southern Illinois. If the weather cooperates, it can still dry up
enough to run on Saturday. Let's all hope we don't have another
mudbath!
3/5/2003 The St. Louis region has adopted
the new Midwest RallyCross Championship Rules/Regulations. The new
information can be found
here.
3/5/2003 We are currently in search of more
sites to host our RallyCrosses. If you have a potential site, or know of
one, please contact Jeff
Templeton, or any of our other committee members on our
contact list.
3/4/2003 Now that the
100 Acre Wood ClubRally
is over, we can focus on some RallyCross! Our first event this
year, the "Rabbit Egg RallyCross", is planned for April 19th, the
day before Easter. It will be at the
Pittsburg, IL site. The
Pittsburg information page has been updated with the new information.
12/10/2002 More pics from the previous
cancelled event have been added to the Pittsburg page.
12/10/2002 Photos have been uploaded for
the Potosi event here.
12/10/2002 Photos have been uploaded for
the Pittsburg event here.
More photos will be added shortly.
12/8/2002 Bright sunshine and a warm breeze
greeted the 20+ Competitors that showed up to run St. Louis Region's 2nd
and last RallyCross of 2002. As always, some of the folks that were
turned away at the first attempt to hold this event, when 3 inches of
rain fell in the wee hours of November 10, were unable to return. But
several folks that could not come THEN, took their place.
The course measured just a tick over 1/2 mile in length and the fastest
runs timed were about a minute and a half. No sooner than the decision
was made to give 5 runs, the sun began softening the surface of the
field which had been quite frozen and covered by a good 4 inches of
snow. Quickly the added run was taken back and scoring reverted to "the
best 3 of 4". Even so, a couple of cars needed the help of a stiff rope
to return them to the "racing surface" when they strayed to far into the
cold sludge on the outside of turn 3. No harm came to any equipment, and
the combo "timing vehicle / rescue truck / observation & photography
platform" was able to make quick work of the extracations AND return to
station fast enough to get a time for the errant drivers! (although we
may have added a new name to the waiting list for a kidney)
We would like to thank everyone who showed up and especially those from
outside our home region. They included competitors from Missouri,
Chicago, Indiana, "National Staff" from Kansas, and a ClubRalliest from
Chattanooga who will drive tonight to Huntsville Al. for another event
Sunday! Results will be posted on the website shortly, as soon as the
"extra coating" on the pylons is returned to the proper location. The
Illinois Department of Soil and Errosion Control has agreed not to
require the return of any "coatings" on the vehicles proper, sighting an
inability to "identify" the make, color, or license plate number. Under
concideration is holding another event at that location with the same
course, as a number of drivers seem to prefer going in the opposite
direction.
Bookmark this website and ask to be placed on an E-MAIL list to learn of
future plans for a full schedule of events for the comming year brought
to you by the St. Louis Region SCCA, "Home of the ClubRally National
Championship".
-Mike B.
12/8/2002 Results for Pittsburg are posted
here.
12/5/2002 After thoroughly inspecting the
field this evening, it looks as if the Pittsburg event should go ahead
as planned. The dirt surface is partially frozen, and the ice and
snow on top form an additional protective layer! Weather report
says temps should stay below freezing for the most part. As long
as the ice doesn't melt we have an EXCELLENT ice/snow surface!
11/26/2002
Results posted for 11/23 event in Potosi
11/26/2002 Thanks to everyone for making
the Potosi event a success! Don't wash your cars just yet though.
The Pittsburg event is approaching quickly on the 7th.
